Many people search for a cure for sinus infection, especially those
who suffer from chronic infections. Fortunately, there are numerous
things you can do to help your body heal faster.
How many times have you woken up from a good night' sleep simply to
find that you once again have a stuffy nose, headache and pressure
around you sinus cavities? This is common for a lot of people that
suffer from sinus infections. They seem to come on out of nowhere and
unfortunately they can make you feel miserable for up to eight weeks
at a time. There are different kinds of sinus infections, an acute
sinus infection is classified as one that lasts up to eight weeks or
an infection that may heal within ten days, but returns up to three
times per year. Some people suffer from chronic sinus
infections. These infections often either last longer eight weeks or
they can heal within ten days and return more than three times
throughout the year. There is no cure for sinus
infection. Unfortunately, each individual infection needs to be
treated by a doctor.
Since a sinus infection is a viral infection, a doctor will
normally treat it with antibiotics. However, many people treat the
symptoms of a sinus infection with over the counter cold and allergy
medicines. This is because some of the symptoms for a sinus infection
are similar to those of a cold or an allergic reaction. People often
experience congestion, especially in the nasal cavities, that is
accompanied by a thick mucus discharge. You may also feel a lot of
pressure in your face. This will normally happen in the cheeks and
around the eyes. You may also get a dull headache that doesn' easily
subside, even when taking over the counter pain medication r pain on
one side of the head. Sinus infections can make you feel miserable and
because they last for long periods of time, you need to make sure you
eat a healthy diet and get additional rest so that your body can heal
faster.
Unfortunately, there is nothing that will cure a sinus infection
forever. If you are prone to sinus infections, you are likely to get
them time and time again. With proper treatment though, you will get
better faster and be ableto function properly before you know it.
